Sketching William sketches of a scruffy hound - and sometimes I add a little orange terror called Hamish
The sketches....... often a quick pen outline ~ sometimes a photo and work from that.
I draw what he gets up to, no matter how the finished drawing looks. I hope you enjoy seeing them......ann
It's a sixth sense, Annie has it too. It's amazing how they know these things, but they do!
ReplyDeleteIt's uncanny :)
DeleteJust saw a segment on the news about how dogs "tell time". It only discussed dogs indoors waiting for their people to return home. Their sense of smell is so well developed, they can tell how long it has been since the people were in the house and develop a sense of how much scent is left when the people are due home! I couldn't explain how this explains a short and not-regular absence.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy your sketches and posts about William So much!
That is interesting to know. I think they could teach us a lot, although I think perhaps William already has us trained! .... Really pleased you like the sketches :)
DeleteI saw an interesting piece on TV the other day. Something to do with how long your scent stays in the house after you are away is how they figure when you will be home. Don't know how true it is, but apparently they had various house pets on closed camera surveillance.
ReplyDeleteI need to look out for the program on this, sounds interesting. Hope they will show it here.
DeleteI KNOW!!! it's uncanny. but they ALWAYS know!
ReplyDeletei'm sure they know the sound of the car. and they hear it maybe blocks away!
to be greeted and waited for with that kind of love...
there is just nothing like it. ♥
William definitely knows the sound of the car. In fact he even knows the sound of our son's van! (Why am I even surprised!! Lol)
DeleteThey have a sixth sense I'm sure! ;)
ReplyDeleteDefinitely :)
