Sketching William sketches of a scruffy hound - and sometimes I add a little orange terror called Hamish

The sketches....... often a quick pen outline ~ sometimes a photo and work from that.

I draw what he gets up to, no matter how the finished drawing looks. I hope you enjoy seeing them......ann

I'M NOW DOING 'LOOKING BACK' POSTS HERE, KEEPING WILLIAM'S MEMORY ALIVE ❤️

Beware - Adders!

...."Now listen up lad"

It's the time of year when the adders are about, so we explain to him that he needs to watch out -and we think he listens.  We saw one yesterday and when he realised he backed away.

So he had listened to us - good lad!

at least with our rattlers there is a warning of them shaking their tails.

    1. Yes they are poisonous Tammy, the only one we have like that in the UK. William knows now to watch out for them and we warn him too, obviously as in the drawing here, but when he was 6 months old he got bitten! It was only a young adder, but still as venomous and luckily we got him to the vets - he was on anti-venom and liquids within an hour of the bite. Some dogs aren't that fortunate to get help quick.
