About Sketching William.......

About these sketches....I have various techniques for capturing William. Apart from quick pen outlines to remind me of his pose, I will take a photo and work from that. When he stands still long enough, I'll do a complete sketch en plein air ~ All the drawings are things he has done and been up to, good or naughty, all forming a permanent reminder of those little things in life that makes having him so worthwhile. I admit not all the drawings are complete or perfect in any way, but when I originally set out to capture him, I decided they would be fun and to get too hung up on perfection would take away that fun. I hope you enjoy seeing them......ann

  1. Annie loves tennis balls too and we have one of those chuckaball things.
We only have to say "Are you ready" and she's off chasing the ball.
I love to see them play!
I like William's style, a very best toy and a second best toy :-)

  3. wow.. Great catch William. Annie's ball is FIRST BEST. The girls even know to leave it alone. lol I have this vision of drawing Annie following Con with the pink ball in her mouth and the girls following behind her, each with a little pink ball in their beaks..Can you just see it?? Now that would be a hoot. LOL

    1. ....He was Mary, he really LOVES the beach. In fact there are times when he doesn't want to go home and works his way back to the sea in order to stay a bit longer! lol

  5. Tennis balls are one of the very, very favorites of our dogs. They can't have them all the time because they chew them up, which makes them even more fun to have when they can. Have you see the dog-toy called a "Chuckit" to throw one with--Whoever came up with that is nothing short of a genius!

    1. I don't know what it is about tennis balls that they like so much, but it is obviously a massive hit with them. Yes, we've got a chuckit, and wow! doesn't it send the tennis balls a long way!! :)

    2. I'm glad you have a Chuckit--If you'd not heard of it, I was going to send you one! It really does send the balls practically into orbit, and I've lost many balls over the fence that prove it! :-)

    3. I appreciate the thought Kim. With our chuckit, we've had other dogs trying to join in the game too, as they have thought it's being thrown for them!!! hilarious :)
