About Sketching William.......

About these sketches....I have various techniques for capturing William. Apart from quick pen outlines to remind me of his pose, I will take a photo and work from that. When he stands still long enough, I'll do a complete sketch en plein air ~ All the drawings are things he has done and been up to, good or naughty, all forming a permanent reminder of those little things in life that makes having him so worthwhile. I admit not all the drawings are complete or perfect in any way, but when I originally set out to capture him, I decided they would be fun and to get too hung up on perfection would take away that fun. I hope you enjoy seeing them......ann

Poor paw

...and there he was in the middle of his dinner when he appeared in the kitchen holding his paw up!

Nothing dramatic  -

turns out he had a biscuit stuck in his foot!

Drama over he returned to his dinner!

  1. Oh William, I'm so sorry but that did make me laugh:-)
    Reminded me of something.
I felt bad years ago when my Mum broke her ankle.
She woke up from having a snooze, stood up and fell over a dog biscuit. Not funny but had to laugh :-)

    1. Oh my goodness, that was one heck of a dog biscuit! Actually reminds me of my late Grandad who had fallen over a matchstick and broke his ankle.....yes, literally.

  2. So sweet that he couldn't get it out himself!

  3. Lol! Well, the biscuit was in the wrong place!

    1. Exactly, and why he couldn't sort the problem out for himself I shall never know, lol :)
